The New Rules of Marketing and PR
The New Rules of Marketing and PR: How to Use Social Media, Blogs, News Releases, Online Video, and Viral Marketing to Reach Buyers Directly
More than anything, the new rules of relations of Marketing and PR things together. The book provides an easy to understand even for a whole new online marketplace - a landscape that can seem a bit confusing, even for vendors. With so many options available to us (literally), where do we start? Blogs? Podcasts? PR? SEO? Paid search? Viral marketing? The list is long. To make matters worse, technology evolves and new tools are being developed almost daily.
In the early chapters, David takes a look at high altitude of online marketing options, showing us how it developed, why they are important, how they work and why they work. Hereinafter "Action Plan" chapters, jump into the trenches and shows us how to apply the tools and implement programs. At all times, using detailed case studies to illustrate not only the programs, but can achieve amazing results.
But it is only the latest technology and are of crucial importance. public relations, for example, has been around since Gutenberg, but for the first time is suitable for small business. Traditional PR was cost prohibitive and difficult to access depends on contacts with key media. But in the new world - "... Its primary audience is no longer just a handful of journalists. Your audience is millions of people with Internet connections and access to search engines and RSS readers." (Chapter 5)
Today, the public relations may be the most underutilized tool in the arsenal of marketing.
Another "old" technology David brings to speed on the company's Web site. In fact, the three most important points that came out of the new rules of marketing and PR have enormous implications on traditional Web development.
These key points are -
1. The new rule is the most important content. The design is important. The technology is important. But without extraordinary content, which is doomed to failure.
2. interruption marketing (spam and pop-ups) has given way to consumer-focused marketing. Hooray! "The Web is different. Instead of interrupting the way Internet marketing is intended to provide useful content right at the precise moment that a buyer needed." (Chapter 1)
3. The starting point for any program is the new standard character creation for customers. If you have extraordinary content that motivates buyers to take action, you better know your customer inside out.
David explains how these three principles should influence not only on their website, but all online programs, you agree.
Fortunately, David is understandable and informative. One reason I enjoyed his blog for over a year is their conversation, entertaining writing style. It facilitates learning (which is harder to do than you think). In any case, his book is like your blog
- light and fun.The new rules of marketing and public relations presents the most complete picture of all the books I read. For the seller, who will fill the gaps. For the general practitioner, will open a new world.

The birth of many Apple iPad offers digital book market has launched a fledgling chain reaction, with publishers willing to protect their profits against expected Amazon to lower prices.
Sunday, warning customers of Amazon have bowed to pressure from publishers Macmillan, who insists on charging $ 12.99 to $ 14.99 for his books sold in bookstores Amazon Kindle e-reader, instead of the standard $ 9.99.
This price reflects the terms agreed upon by five of the six publishers to sell books on electronic media Apple's recently introduced iPad tablet, the New York Times.
Amazon has long-term selection and low prices advertised its main appeal to consumers, helping boost sales of the Amazon 42 percent in the most recent fourth quarter.
Book value is the key to promote the growth of the Kindle since its launch in 2007, but Amazon has put in contrast with the publishers. major publishers have complained that low prices on digital versions of the title it would cannibalize sales of more expensive hardcover edition.
Dominated the Amazon e-book has shot to ask for a lower price, that is, until the Apple appears on stage with the iPad and iBookstore week.

"Football is a technique to break down and it was only a matter of accumulation in the semi-retailers," said Michael James, senior trader at Wedbush Morgan in Los Angeles.
Meanwhile, shares of rival Amazon Barnes & Noble, the booksellers that Nook e-readers hit the market just before Christmas, has risen 17 percent in after-hours trade on Monday after investor Ronald Burkle sought to raise the threat.
SELL-OFF overdone?
Amazon does not disclose sales figures or profit for the Kindle, just saying that millions of people have purchased equipment.
Some analysts believe that Amazon sell securities at a loss of $ 9.99, and recovery through the sale of his readers. This means that the price is higher than the requirements of Macmillan will boost the profitability of the Amazon e-book, recorded at least two analysts believe the sell-off appears in the magnification.
"Although revenue growth Kindle may be affected, higher prices may improve profitability," UBS analyst Brian Pitz wrote, adding that Amazon leverage "critical" value should not Low prices.

JP Morgan's Imran Khan, meanwhile, wrote that if the price on e-books has increased to $ 14.99 from $ 9.99, volume reduction is expected to more than one third of the revenue decline.

The Justice Department also learn how Google Inc. plans to resolve copyright disputes that may arise as a result of putting the book on the Internet. Libraries will be charged for this service, which is feared to be very expensive. "There is no indication that there is a specific activity that is planned," according to a source which scans books and construction of a library of Internet sites.
Google says that millions of pounds can be accessed. "The Ministry of Justice and attorneys general and some have contacted us to learn more about the impact of the colony, and we are happy to answer them," Google representatives. Critics say the rules that Google will be able to digitize works that raises antitrust concerns.
These works, orphan works, called, written under United States copyright whose rights are not a particular person. "My impression is that the questions focused on gathering facts," according to representatives from Google itself.

Journeys of a Lifetime
500 of the World's Greatest Trips
The typical options of travel are generally described in one or two pages of color photographs and maps, at least half the space. Entry contains brief advice on when to go, how long the trips last, how long in advance of the plans, special tips for packing, and websites for more information. Highlights of this trip are detailed in order to get an idea of what you see and do. Some trips, however, listed at least one point.
Of course you should judge a book so carefully. By definition, have not taken much of the trip!
I looked at the trips I have had are great and I noticed some deficiencies in their opinions. Here are some examples:
1. Each record is treated as if nothing can be closer interest. As a result, you should see the location to see how you can combine several trips contained in a book. For example, many trips to New England is not far and you should consider doing more than one visit.
2. The deadline for the use of other events are not always considered to be sufficiently detailed. For example, Boston's Freedom Trail featured in the book. But it says that if there is a Patriot Day (Monday April), you can also see recreations of the battles of Lexington and Concord and the management of the Boston Marathon on the same trip.
3. Some of the advice seemed so wrong from my point of view. When I went to the Galapagos Islands, I was there for 10 days in the dry season and rainy season in 4 days. The rainy season is terrible! The people there said he was always sure to come in the dry season (which ends in early winter in North America). The book does not mention this issue when we talk about when to go. In addition, many of the most interesting things to do in the Galapagos are not mentioned.
As a result of using this book to start dreaming a little about what can go see. I was fascinated by some of these decisions for Australia and New Zealand have never heard of, but it looked very nice. But many tasks outside of the book to find out what you really need to know before selecting and organizing the trip.

Black & Decker Complete Home Repair
More books I need to change my date from the end of 70-in. I will choose based on reviews and other general costs. More integrated with photos and additional tasks that I am 65 years old my mother-laws house for renovation and maintenance will take.
Seemed like a good book, but the first few projects are on the ground that the rip. There was no plumbing in the entire extraction. I look at the book, as yet, I realized that more than 90 projects that I personally do not do that for all%. I returned the book and the other Black and Decker book, buy "Homeowner basic concepts." Homeowner Basics actual projects and ideas I'd really be playing.

In fact, I have chosen the 500 + pages of books and two 5-star review because it is. When this book arrived, I immediately felt the weight of the quality and efficiency. (University of textbook materials, I think), I soon found I'd pop the activities, the detailed description. I called my father and said: "Get ready for Home Depot, we are!" telephone, my father expressed concern about our lack of experience. My father got in my truck, I passed the Black & Decker text. Sticky, I put on our projects. He slipped his glasses and peered through his bi-focals and no way to buy tools and supplies for a word to say. Once in the car park, turn off the engine I did not teach before he said the images "as we like! So I want some gloves!" Was a bee-line to the door now! (You can take Agurea!), was excited, so I. Now, since beeen a 5 week trip to Home Depot. Both my father and I have cuts and scrapes and a sore back, today we have ever made to prove our house renovation. My father keeps the Black & Decker text at his home "to keep safe." Text clean with a damp cloth after each project was. The project does not appear to be at the end in sight, and my father, I think the text read to have a direct result of "suggestions." My suggestion .... Do not let anyone "borrow" this text is, of course, do not - love him!

A New Earth
Awakening to Your Life's Purpose
I put this book in the category of eye-opening. I believe this book only for those who consider themselves such. However, the book offers much in the way of teaching. Concepts are well thought out, delivered in a manner easily understood when you open (the trend, and fresh enough to keep my interest and it says something).
Some people (), many people could use their position in this book. There is logic and reason, much of my spiritual education was under most of my life and allows readers to find peace. If the teachings brought into use, you may notice your fears, your guilt, and find it here. I am not myself in accordance with the rule that Mr. Tolle, but I have met on the road. I can say. I recommend this book to gain more understanding of what really interested.

The Shack
by William P. Young (Author)
This book showed me the very first pages ... how they were out and open the way of the teachings of the Bible has been great. Especially when one speaks of "forgiveness" really made me reevaluate my life on all new light.
I have often thought about what I would do if someone hurt one of my children and could cover 100% Mack, to be honest, it would be much worse. This book certainly made me rethink a lot of ideas / thoughts on the matter. Anyway, I hope many of you fathers out there get what I did from this book. The trio can work through our daily .... we just have to let them experience and life instead of the expected.

The Lost Symbol
by Dan Brown (Author)
I started reading Dan Brown 2 years ago when a friend gave me Angels and Demons. A & D makes me read all the books previously published in another DB. After reading The Lost Sport also Angels and Demons, as the best book.
I'm still giving training because, after looking at a plan 5 for all other works of Dan Brown sued in story form to convey a better understanding of Freemasonry and the spiritual laws that govern it. He also shared the religious views that I believe could save the world if the arms of the human being. Deification, or the human potential as God, is a common theme in most religions and DB did a great job to explain the world that has lost the idea or would consider it as a heresy. I thought Brown did a great job expressing the spiritual tendencies and Freemasonic founders of the United States and presents a vision that I believe that settles the debate about whether we are a Christian nation or not. The answer is that we are spiritual people who believe in courtesy to others and see the world as a creature with the potential to become gods. The prospect of this makes any difference or dispute over religious issues are not important and disturbing than what can really be.
A word about the controversy. This vision of human destiny to be God is where the controversy lies in this book and hope to see some warm discussions on the subject by the clergy in the coming weeks. For those who think the DaVinci Code and the theories about the Virgin Mary is controversial to wait and see until the student to read this book and get the message.
I'm glad that Brown did not give in to conspiracy theories. I like the spirit in which he played a large vessel made of concrete and a mature understanding of religion and spirituality are depicted in this book.

Twilight
by Stephenie Meyer (Author)
I would say that most saturated with so many emotions, passion and time - has raised my curiosity. Positive or negative, I could not believe that people can be swept away by the tsunami of emotion. So I read the book and here is my assessment, because as the projectile is not worth writing an essay.
1st This is a book about vampires. If you like this kind to be surprised, new ways of looking at an old story.
1st This is a book about vampires. If you like this kind to be surprised, new ways of looking at an old story.
2nd It 'a love story.
3rd It's a love story catchy.
4th You do not have vocabulary to read this book. I definitely recommend anyone who needs to practice English.
5th Warning to parents: Although the story of adolescent love. Along with high school, with scenes from all the "rebels" who are still young and can relate. I would like to insist that you as parents read the book by side with the son or daughter. Please discuss some aspects of the relationship of the main characters. The reason is as follows - the male hero is Edward - the vampire was born in 1901, very handsome and chivalrous, but very strict and a little 'abuse. Many people were offended by this character, as you can see the negative reviews. However, it is up to you to drive her daughter to take as a simple tale / fantasy, both towards the adoption of appropriate measures to make nice guy. I remember the last century, served as his grandmother? You want your daughter to grow up in this? I do not like, I like my grandmother, but I do not want to be like her. Secondly, Belle is shy, but intelligent (as a bookworm), a girl who fell head over hills Edward. You make many bad decisions as a sign that an adult with life experience I will never do. The choice of love, commitment, suicide, murder and acceptance of death. Would be a great topic for discussion.
6th No Solzhenitsyn, Tolstoy, and Shakespeare - is a novel, simple love story and should be expected as such. "Train", "Book Rate", "Book of the underground ... I bought often in these first days of their time killing a tachometer and a half years for academics. Like any other novel is simple but charming. It takes you from the reality a couple hours ... does not irritate me as some people here, but as you can see, my English is not native language. However, I can understand why some reviews are full of literary discussion. It's a novel.
In conclusion, I give five stars, because I realized what the book was written for - the content and achievement of its intended audience.

The Help (Hardcover)
The Help is a young white woman in Mississippi in the early 1960s is concerned about the fate of the black maid, lady, that every family is working for them. Write their stories of torture, abuse and broken homes in the heart of working white families', all just before the civil rights revolution. This is a story in a nutshell - but it is much more than just stories.
This is the best book i have read for years! I can't recommend enough! It's beautiful and I think it will have a movie from it. I would compare it with texts by Carson McCullers, Harper Lee, Truman Capote and even Margaret Mitchell. The story grabs you and will not let you go. You can feel the molten tar road Mississippi, toil in the fields of cotton, grits on the stove burning. This question is indomitable human will to survive all the odds - because of the color of their skin. It's heart-turning account, and never remember fondly the days of Jim Crow laws (if we ever did). Net, down and out bitchery white ladies who are dissatisfied with their maids and continue to destroy their lives, is shown graphically. Desperate situation of maids' is really touching. I laughed and cried my way through this book and plan to read it. I would highly recommend this book because it will speak for the best book of the year.
